The Makita 1902 Electric Planer is a solid general‑duty corded planer built to deliver smooth, precise wood planing for both rough stock removal and finishing work. With a width of 82 mm (approx. 3‑1/4″) and a maximum cutting depth of 1 mm per pass, it gives good control for leveling, chamfering, or removing old finishes.

Equipped with a high speed cutter head running at 16,000 rpm (no‑load), this planer features a durable motor (~ 550‑580 W) that balances power with maneuverability. The planer offers a max rebate (shiplap) depth of 9 mm, enabling stepped edges or fitting board overlaps.  Lightweight (≈ 2.5‑2.7 kg), and with a compact build (~ 285‑290 mm long), it’s easy to handle on site or in workshops.
